What You Will Need:
1. Install Plugin
In this example we are working on a website that sells home furnishings. I have two different shipping methods in place. A $250 Flat Rate, since many of the items are large furniture pieces that cost a lot to ship. And a Free Shipping option. This option is only for customers that spend more than $100 in Accessories.
Since the couch is over $100 dollars, WooCommerce assumes that free shipping should be an option. Obviously we do not want to ship a $2,000 couch for free. So, we need to disable free shipping in WooCommerce.
In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Plugins -> Add New. In the search bar enter “PW WooCommerce Exclude Free Shipping”. It will be the first plugin as shown in the image above. Install and activate the plugin.
2. Select Product To Exclude
Select your desired product to not follow the free shipping rule. Do this by navigating to Products -> All Products. Locate the product you are looking for and select it.
On the Product Edit page scroll down the Product Data section. Click on Shipping and you will see an option for Exclude Free Shipping. Check the box and Update the page.
Refresh the Cart page and you will see that the Free Shipping option has disappeared. Repeat these steps for all desired products that you would like to exclude from free shipping.
